Scope and ownership This license applies to the original source code, explanatory text, graphics, interface design, content selection, and arrangement authored for OncoToolkit (collectively, the "OncoToolkit Materials"). The OncoToolkit Materials are proprietary and are not open-source software. OncoToolkit does not claim ownership of medical facts, mathematical formulae, algorithms, scoring methods, published clinical systems, third-party publications, trademarks, software, or other materials owned by their respective rights holders. See THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md. 2. Permitted use of the hosted service Healthcare professionals and other lawful users may access and use the OncoToolkit website for clinical decision support, research, education, and internal professional purposes. Users may copy or export results generated from their own entered data for patient records, clinical communication, research, education, and other internal professional workflows. Users may link to public OncoToolkit pages and may quote limited portions of original website content with clear attribution where permitted by applicable law. Ordinary browser caching and legitimate search-engine indexing are permitted. These permissions apply to use of the hosted service only. They do not grant a license to use or reproduce the source code or to republish the website's original content as a collection, database, product, or competing service. 3. Restrictions Except with prior written permission from OncoToolkit or as required by applicable law, no person may: - copy, modify, translate, adapt, merge, or create derivative works from the OncoToolkit Materials; - publish, distribute, sublicense, sell, rent, host, mirror, or commercially exploit the OncoToolkit Materials; - systematically scrape, extract, harvest, or reproduce original website content or calculator implementations; - use the OncoToolkit Materials to create or train a substantially duplicative product, dataset, website, or service; - remove, obscure, or alter copyright, attribution, or proprietary notices; or - use the OncoToolkit name, logo, or branding in a way that suggests endorsement, affiliation, or ownership. 4. Public GitHub repository If the source code is made available through a public GitHub repository, GitHub and its users retain the rights provided by GitHub's applicable terms, including viewing and forking through GitHub functionality. Public visibility and platform-enabled forking do not grant any additional right to deploy, modify, redistribute, commercialize, or create derivative works from the OncoToolkit Materials outside those terms. 5. User data OncoToolkit does not claim ownership of patient information, clinical facts, or other data entered by a user. Users remain responsible for ensuring that their use and handling of data comply with applicable privacy, confidentiality, and professional requirements. 6. Third-party materials Third-party software, publications, clinical models, scoring systems, names, logos, and other materials remain subject to their own licenses, terms, and rights. Nothing in this license limits rights granted by a third-party license or asserts ownership over material that OncoToolkit does not own. 7. Disclaimer THE ONCOTOOLKIT MATERIALS AND HOSTED SERVICE ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT. ONCOTOOLKIT IS CLINICAL DECISION SUPPORT AND DOES NOT REPLACE CURRENT PRIMARY LITERATURE, GUIDELINES, INSTITUTIONAL PROTOCOLS, OR INDIVIDUALIZED PROFESSIONAL JUDGMENT. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ONCOTOOLKIT WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR OTHER DAMAGES ARISING FROM ACCESS TO OR USE OF THE ONCOTOOLKIT MATERIALS OR HOSTED SERVICE. 8. Applicable law and permissions Nothing in this license restricts rights that cannot lawfully be restricted, including applicable statutory exceptions and limitations.
