WHO Performance Status
Clinical Context & Background
The WHO performance status scale (paralleling the ECOG scale) is used to assess the general well-being and activities of daily life of cancer patients. It determines whether they can receive chemotherapy, whether dose adjustment is necessary, and determines intensity of palliative care.
